What We Do
We offer access to many different ranges on our property, including a trap range, 200 YD range, pistol-only range, and a multi-purpose range. Our facilities are frequently used for club-hosted events and matches. For more information on the clubs, click here.
Who We Are
AGC is a nonprofit, membership range located in Marriottsville, MD. We are one of the largest ranges east of the Mississippi River. We have been providing a safe place for local shooters to practice and compete for over 80 years.
OUR RANGES
AGC has eight different ranges located over sixty acres in northwest Baltimore County. We offer all members unlimited access to a safe, maintained, and clean location all year round.
BARNES RANGE
The Barnes Range is also called the 100 YD range and the multipurpose range. You can use rifles, pistols, shotguns, muzzle loaders, and more, you can set your target at any distance, you can shoot from any position (standing, sitting, prone, etc.), and you can use nearly any kind of ammunition. It has 100 shooting lanes, of which 91-100 are reserved for benchrest shooting only.
PISTOL RANGE
The pistol range is also called the 50 YD range. It is 50 yards long and has 58 shooting lanes, each with a permanent shooting bench. You can set your target at any distance on this range. Use of this range is restricted to pistol calibers ONLY, and firearm barrels must be less than 10 inches.
200 YD Range
The 200 YD range has 10 shooting lanes. You can use rifles and pistols, and can shoot from any position (standing, sitting, prone, etc.) You can only shoot at 200 yards.
Trap Range
There are 4 trap fields, each with 5 lanes and a thrower. Microphones are provided on each lane, and during public trap hours a Range Safety Officer (RSO) is stationed at the trap range to aid shooters.
ARCHERY RANGE
The archery range is just inside the treeline behind Memorial Hall. It has lanes varying from 20 to 60 yards, with targets provided. You can also bring your own targets to set up.
SHOOTING BAYS
There are 7 bays of varying lengths. The bays are available for events ONLY, not for individual use. For more information, see the action shooting website:
SHOTGUN PATTERNING RANGE
The patterning range is used to determine the pattern of your shotgun without destroying a target. Being located close to the trap range allows for easy access while shooting your shotgun.
PELLET RANGE
Located inside Memorial Hall, the pellet range is 10 meters long and has 6 lanes.
BARNES BUILDING
The Barnes Building is located at the Barnes Range on the lower half of the property. This building contains the offices, sales desk, vending machines, and more. If you need to locate a Range Safety Officer (RSO), you should check the Barnes Building.
MEMORIAL HALL
Memorial Hall is located next to the trap range on the upper half of the property. It contains the pellet range which doubles as a meeting room, and a secondary classroom.
A Brief History of the AGC
The Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore, Inc. was formed on July 1, 1944 when a number of World War II veterans in the Baltimore, Maryland area began looking for a place for recreational and competitive shooting. They organized with several other Baltimore area shooting clubs to form the “AGC”.

During its early years, the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore, Inc. was formed by 15 fifteen “Charter” member shooting clubs. Today, 15 Charter clubs, plus additional “Associate” member clubs, form the AGC.
