Targets can be placed up to 100 yards from the firing line.
There are in-ground receptacles for AGC style target frames at 25, 50, & 100 yards.
There are 100 individual lanes.
Lanes 91-100 are reserved for benchrest shooting only.
Lanes to the left of the orange pole (1-57) are for event use only, and require Range Safety Officer (RSO) approval before use.
Most firearms legal in Maryland are allowed on this range, including
rifles,
pistols,
shotguns, &
muzzle loaders.
Some firearms, such as fully automatic, require permission to use.
There are two steel targets set up for rent on the Barnes Range.
